Model: HP 17-g152np
CPU/APU: AMD A10-8700P (Carrizo) with Radeon R6 iGPU
dGPU: AMD Radeon R7 M360 (switchable)
OS: Windows 10 22H2 x64 (clean install). Also tried 1909 and LTSC.
BIOS: Defaults; tested both UEFI and Legacy. Secure Boot ON/OFF tested.
Symptoms
1) UEFI/GPT install
Installing AMD graphics (Adrenalin) consistently triggers a BSOD during driver detection/installation.
Most frequent stop code: KERNEL MODE HEAP CORRUPTION.
Requires Safe Mode + DDU to recover.
2) Legacy/MBR install
No BSOD, but R7 M360 doesn’t engage.
Device Manager shows Radeon R6 and/or Microsoft Basic Display Adapter; R7 M360 is missing/inactive.
Usual adapter registry subkeys (“0000/0001” under Class {4d36e968-…}) are not created.
Games (e.g., CS2) launch to black screen or run with iGPU-level performance.
What I’ve tried
Clean Windows install (22H2).
DDU in Safe Mode (remove AMD & MS Basic), disconnect Internet, disable Windows driver updates.
Install order: AMD Chipset → reboot → AMD Graphics.
Graphics versions tested: Adrenalin 22.6.1, 21.5.2, 20.4.2, 19.12.1; older Crimson 17.7.2, 16.12.1, 16.9.2.
BIOS reset to defaults; toggled UEFI/Legacy, Secure Boot ON/OFF.
Event Viewer: “TPM Base Services” warnings (1796/1797) when TPM is disabled/absent – likely unrelated to graphics.
Extra hurdle
HP support page for 17-g152np no longer lists Windows 10 drivers.
The 17-g152ng page (A8) still has packages, but I’m unsure if those SoftPaqs are fully compatible with 17-g152np (A10-8700P + R7 M360).
What I need from HP/Community
Official HP SoftPaq links (or exact versions) for:
AMD Chipset (Carrizo / A10-8700P) for Windows 10 x64.
AMD Switchable Graphics driver that supports R7 M360 for this notebook.
Correct install order & version pairing that avoids BSOD in UEFI/GPT.
Confirmation whether 17-g152ng driver packages are safe for 17-g152np and, if so, the correct SoftPaq IDs.
Any BIOS setting required for Switchable/Hybrid Graphics on this model (I don’t see an explicit toggle).
Recommended way to verify the R7 M360 hardware health (HP diagnostic/tool) before assuming a hardware fault.
Can provide on request
dxdiag.txt, BSOD minidumps, and DDU logs.
Many thanks — goal is to get switchable graphics working properly and keep the system on UEFI/GPT without blue screens.

Hi:
From the information I could find, this is the only driver that I know of that has any chance of working correctly in your PC:
Below are the info and exe file links:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72501-73000/sp72773.html
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72501-73000/sp72773.exe
I downloaded the driver, used the 7-zip file utility to extract the exe file in to a driver folder and it does have support for the onboard Radeon R6 GPU as well as the R7 M360 discrete memory GPU.
The drivers released to HP are custom drivers and can only be updated if HP releases an update, for which I could not find anything newer.
