Hi everyone.
I have an HP Spectre x360 13-4193nr Signature Edition laptop.
Ever since I updated Windows 10 to the creators update a few weeks ago, my HP Spectre laptop at startup has a message that pops up asking to perform a chkdsk or press space bar within 8 seconds.
To be clear, when I startup my laptop, I see the HP logo, followed by the Windows 10 circle dots, immediately followed by the "chkdsk or press space bar within 8 seconds" which only appears for 1 to 2 seconds.
Any suggestions/recommendations on how to stop/get rid of this from appearing at startup?

This is the actual solution that has worked for my HP model...
Open the register (regedit.exe) and change the value of "AutoChkSkipSystemPartition" from 0 to 1, you can find this key in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\
This now solves my issue.

I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
As I understand Windows 10 Check Disk appears every time during the startup since creators update,
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
You don't have any external devices connected to your PC during startup, do you? (please remove if you do)
While you respond to that, here's a few things you need to do:
Disable fast startup under > Control panel > power options > System Settings:
It's not doing this because of disk errors, something is in the startup running the command,
If the issue persists, try the below steps:
If your Check Disk or chk disk tool in Windows runs on every boot, here are a few things you may want to try.
1. First of all, let it run once completely.
2. Now open the Registry Editor and navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager
In the right pane, you will see BootExecute. Change its value from autocheck autochk * /. to autocheck autochk *

I'm glad it's working fine, however, did you try the steps I had suggested, as that's supposed to help you disable the same auto-check process as the one you've used from the other post.

Although this issue was answered some time ago, during early 2019, my HP spectre 360 started requesting a "Check Disk" during bootup. Used numerous methods to check the SSD drive only to find NFF ( no faults found) followed your suggestions listed below and all appears to be OK now. Many thanks for the advice

3. Error message (if any)
