Hi there!

I was trying to do a reset to factory settings with Recovery manager and selected remove everything (files, apps, settings).

When it got to 100% it turned into message which was:

"The following configuration change was requested to this computer's  Trusted Platform Module (TPM):

Clear TPM

Warning: Clearing the TPM erases information stored on the TPM. You will lose all created keys and access to data encrypted by these keys.

Press F1: Accept                  Press F2: Reject

The problem is that I can’t choose anything. No matter which key I press, nothing happens, just a short beep

please help

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

The TPM module is a security chip on your computer that stores certain information regarding your computer's security. If you've created any TPM security encryption and keys it will get erased when you press F1 to complete the recovery.

Otherwise, the default encryption gets overwritten and it should work again. Please check this document https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/information-protection/tpm/initialize-and-configur... (Troubleshoot the TPM) from Microsoft for more information in the regard. This should shed some light.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
