I have an HP Pavilion dm3-1130us Laptop and since MS is no longer supporting Windows 7 very soon I would like to know if there could be issues trying to update to Windows 10. I have enough HD space and enough RAM to support Windows 10. Curious if my processor will be taxed with the upgrade. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know whether you can upgrade your computer to Windows 10.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
You can continue using Windows 7 even after the support is ended. However, if you wish to upgrade to Windows 10 then Microsoft lists the Windows 10 minimum hardware requirements as:
- Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor or SoC.
- RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) for 32-bit or 2 GB for 64-bit.
- Hard disk space: 16 GB for 32-bit OS 20 GB for 64-bit OS.
- Graphics card: DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver.
- Display: 800x600
However, I recommend continuing using Windows 7. When Windows 7 reaches the end of support on January 14, 2020, your computer will still function but Microsoft will no longer provide the following:
- Technical support for any issues
- Software updates
- Security updates or fixes
I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!

I understand I can continue using Windows 7. I really would like to know if my computer can be upgraded to Windows 10 without running into problems. On the HP website there is a list of computers that have been tested for the upgrade. I don't see my laptop model listed. I would like to know if there is anymore info available. My laptop is almost 10 years old and I may just upgrade to a newer model.
Thank you.

You can go ahead and upgrade to Windows 10, however, you might face issues with the drivers and it is not recommended to upgrade the operating system.
