I have a Pavilion dv5-2155dx entertainment notebook running Windows 7 64-bit. Can I upgrade this to Windows 10? If so, are all the required drivers available from HP?
Thanks,
Alan

The answer to Upgrading to Win10 is simple but not complete -- yes, you could do the Upgrade, but we do not how well that will work because HP does not supply any Win10 drivers for your PC.
My suggestion is that you try it to see if it works -- but BEFORE you do that, read the information below about making an Image backup of your PC, that way, if the Upgrade does not go well, or it works but afterward, your PC does not run well, you have something to restore FROM to get a working system back ...
Macrium Reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or entire drives.
What I recommend is the following:
1) Download and install Macrium Reflect (MR) from here: http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx
2) Run MR and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition(s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB stick
3) Use the option to create a boot USB stick or CD
My experience is that MR, when using the High Compression option, typically can compress the saved image file to about 50% of the USED space in the OS partition. This means if you have an 80GB OS partition, and 40GB is used, MR only needs about 20GB to store the image file.
I use this all the time and it typically takes less than 15 minutes to do the image backup and about the same time or less to do a restore.
NOW, you have the means to restore a full working system from the external drive or USB stick in only a few minutes.

Once you have that done, use this link to download and create Win10 install media on a USB stick (will need one of 8GB or larger for this): https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Then, with your PC running Win7, insert the USB stick into your PC, find the folder containing the files, right-click on setup.exe and select Run as Administrator. That will start the Win10 Upgrade.
