I have been trying to update my Windows 10, but every time I try it says that I am unable to update for some reason.  I have tried running the Windows update troubleshooter, and it says that it has fixed the issue.  When I try the update again, it continues to fail for the same reason (Error code: 0xc1900106), and I run the troubleshooter again which comes back with the same issues that it said it fixed when I ran it previously.

How do I fix this issue?

That Windows Update error message generally means that WU has detected firmware and/or drivers that are incompatible with the attempted update.

Here is a thread from MS that has commands that some have found to fix this:  https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/f416155f-1c85-49fe-8aa8-98df310f56d8/update-error-...

@WAWood

Thank you for responding to my question.  I had seen that thread previously and tried again just now, and I had tried doing that.  It did not fix the issue.  Most of the commands are saying "access denied", so I don't think it is really working.
