HP Spectre x360 Ultra-7/32/2000/4050 16"

Hi.

Is it possible to get Windows 10 drivers for a 2024 model HP Spectre x360 Ultra-7/32/2000/4050 16"?

Computer specs: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-spectre-x360-16-inch-2-in-1-laptop-pc-16-aa0000/model/210171...

I see that no Win 10 drivers are listed on the support / download pages.

Why is that?

Does anyone have any tips on how to get a set of working drivers?

Windows 10 is fare from end of life..

*Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 (version 21H2) does not have extended support and so support will end on 12 January 2027. Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 (version 21H2), on the other hand, will receive extended support until 13 January 2032.

Hi @boomdrak,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand the HP Spectre x360 Ultra-7/32/2000/4050 (16-inch, 2024 model) is designed to run Windows 11, which is why HP does not officially provide Windows 10 drivers for this model. HP focuses on supporting the operating system that the laptop was shipped with, ensuring optimal compatibility with the latest hardware features.

However, it's still possible to install Windows 10 and find compatible drivers. Here are some tips:

1. Use Windows Update

  • Install Windows 10, then run Windows Update to see if it can automatically download drivers for the hardware. Microsoft often provides generic drivers that can work with newer hardware.

2. Check Component Manufacturers' Websites

  • For components like the Intel processor, NVIDIA GPU, and Realtek audio, go directly to the manufacturers’ websites. They may provide Windows 10 drivers for individual components:
    • Intel: Use the Intel Driver & Support Assistant.
    • NVIDIA: Check the NVIDIA Driver Download page for the GPU.
    • Realtek: Look for audio or network drivers directly on Realtek’s site.

3. Use Windows 11 Drivers

  • In some cases, Windows 11 drivers may work on Windows 10, as both systems share many underlying architectures. Download the Windows 11 drivers from the HP website and install them manually in compatibility mode:
    • Right-click the driver installer, select Properties, go to the Compatibility tab, and choose Windows 10.

4. Use Generic Drivers

  • For devices like touchpads or cameras, generic drivers from Windows may suffice. Check Device Manager for missing drivers and try to update them automatically through Windows.

5. Driver Extraction

  • If you have a backup of a similar laptop running Windows 10, you can extract drivers from it using tools like Double Driver or DriverBackup!

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
