Hi I have a
HP 280 G2 sff. Bios rev 8425 vf.01
The original hard drive died, so I have replaced it with a 64gb ssd on sata 0 and a 80gb mechanical drive on sata 1.
I have run diagnostics on both drives and they have both passed.
I have created a win 10 64 bit flash drive using the standard microsoft tool https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10
I have turned of legacy support in the bios
Only UEFI Boot sources are available.
SATA 0 and SATA 1are available in Device security
All USB ports are enabled in USB Security
I have disabled secure boot under Secure boot configuration.
I would like to try updating the bios but the option to update through the bios isn't available.
So I want to install windows before trying to update the bios
When I place the windows 10 flash drive in the usb port and press F9 to access the boot option the the UEFI : TDK LoR TF10 PMAP is visable so I select it.
The USB starts to boot then gets to the windows 10 logo the dots start to spin in a circle and make half a rotation before freezing.
I have tried pressing shift F10 to access additional installation options at the windows installation logo but it just freezes.
I'm at my wits end. Please can you
