Laptop: Hp Notebook 15-bs015dx
Windows 10
BIO Version: 1. 18. 0. 0
Backround:
I bought my laptop 2 years ago at best buy and I want to replace my hard drive. My Hard drive has been giving me issues lately with the error, Boot Device not found (3F0). I am unable to get to the System Recovery because it sends me right back to the Boot Device not found Screen but I can access my Bio's screen. On the Bio Screen it says that the Factory installed OS is Windows 10. I went to the support page for Hp and tried all of the options but there was no way to recover my old hard drive because in the diagnostics it said that it was not there. I also opened up the Notebook and took the hard drive out and gentally placed it back in but it still said there was no hard drive.
Next, I just tried to install windows 10 to the laptop, just to see if it would restore things, but when I got to the point where it said you wanted to install all this too it. On that screen it showed a drive that had 0 space on it and nothing else.
What I would like to know is if there anyway to recover my windows 10 copy that was Factory installed on the computer? So at the end I can have windows on my new hard drive without having to buy it.
Thank you very Much,
If you need anymore information I would be happy to provide.

Since your machine previously ran Windows 10, you can do a clean install W10 for free by using the media creation tool at the link below.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
The tool will allow you to make a bootable installation media (USB/DVD) and you can use installation media to install.
During the installation process if you are asked to enter a product key, check the 'Skip' box and W10 will install and then automatically activate once you are connected to the internet using the key embedded in BIOS of your machine.
Then you can install the drivers and available software you need from your PC's support page.
Regards.
