Unfortunately it does not fix the problem.

Even by adding a third USB port (over an USB-C adapter) Windows still asks for a media driver.

Hang in there, we are Googling with you. There is a solution somewhere, I'm sure.

 

Seems sometimes changing the USB port after booting may help. And sometimes bigger then 32GB drives give trouble:

People are using their precious remaining lifetime to try and help, so it is common courtesy to come back and tell what the solution eventually was even if you found it elsewhere. It is for the benefit of everyone.

Rufus may solve this. I always have better results using it. I recently had another Expert relate he had problems if the USB flash drive is created on a machine running in Legacy mode instead of UEFI. Haven't tested that one out personally.
