Hi,

I have an old HP Envy k201. Originally it ran on Win8.1Pro, but I had a free upgrade to Win10Pro. However, I had an issue with the system and needed to do a full clean installation of Windows. I didnt have a recovery disk at the time so I had to install a clean OS. Now, Windows is requiring a Product code for thw Win10Pro which I have not kept or written somewhere. Is there a chance to recover or check the code somewhere?

When upgrading from Windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 10 Pro, you should have new Windows 10 Pro product key in BIOS. Please try

1. Open PowerShell (Admin) or Command Prompt (Admin):
Search for "PowerShell" or "Command Prompt" in the Windows search bar.
Right-click on the search result and select "Run as administrator".
2. Execute the command:
Type or paste the following command: wmic path softwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey.
3. Press Enter to get the result.

Regards.
