Windows 10 removed HP 3D Driveguard

I've just installed the latest "Fall" Creators version of Windows 10. On opening it up, it said that HP 3D Driveguard had been removed as it was incompatible with that version of Windows. I don't know what the programme does let alone if I should resintall it if it is not compatible. Any ideas.

Thank you. I wasn't sure if this related to the accelerometre issue so hopefully this solves it. Still no idea what it does though!

The accelerometer will park the hard drive heads if it notices a fast free fall.

This way it can help to stop a head crash.

HP has a new one SP82755 released. My experience is that the SP did a great job or removing the tool from the system. But never reinstalled anything that I can see in services.. There was no message after the SP ran.

Ahh that sounds familiar now, thank you REO51ST.  It's been a while since Windows 10 randomly removed software, i'd forgotten it did it when it first arrived!

I understand. I have a supported model listed HP Pavilion Notebook 15t-bc200 . I have a supported Operating system Win10 1709 16299.64 . My experience is simply different. Thank you for your fast reponse.
