EliteBook 735 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Windows 10 v2004 is coming out, but I found that I couldn't get it installed on my laptop. My laptop is EliteBook 735 G5.

I tried installing Windows 10 v2004 build 19041, which is likely the RTM build, but when it attempted to run OOBE, the computer completely hung up. The screen froze, and the HDD activity LED is off. The fan was loud but the computer completely lost responsiveness. Neither upgrade nor fresh installation worked.

Then I tried disabling SecureBoot and enabling legacy boot. Windows 10 v2004 installed fine with legacy boot. So this must be caused by incompatibility between Windows 10 v2004 and EliteBook 735 G5's UEFI BIOS. I can't simply use legacy boot, because if I use that, every time I boot up the computer it alerts me with "no operating system" message, though pressing Esc to skip the alert results in booting into Windows 10 normally. I'm looking forward to your help.

@Secant1006

What you're talking about is a Windows Insider release -- and the actual release is most likely not going to be made available until March 2020 or later, as MS had made comments about NOT releasing an RTM version early this time.

Until then, and until after HP has had time to evaluate the impact of that release on their equipment, there is not going to be any information about updates or drivers.
