HP laptop [edited]
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Don't ask me how but I inadvertently replaced my windows 10 OS with Microsoft Server 2016. I am trying g to restore my computer to its original al settings but the recovery manager's system recovery button is greyed out. Is there any other way to recover my original OS? Would HP send me a disk to recover it?

Hi:

You can order recovery media for your notebook at the link below...

https://support.hp.com/us-en/mediaorder/HP-15-ba000-Notebook-PC-series-(Touch)/10862319/model/118302...

You can also reinstall W10 for free at any time by using the Media Creation Tool at the link below.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

You will be given an option to make a bootable USB flash drive to install W10, or save an ISO file which you can later burn to a DVD using your DVD burning program's burn ISO file option.

The software will work with the W10 product key in the PC's BIOS.

After W10 has installed, go to the support page for your notebook to install the drivers and available software you need.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-15-ba000-notebook-pc-series-touch/10862319/model...

If you don't like the results, then you can order the recovery media.

Hello there. I just thought I'd give you a quick update and thank you again for your help. The links you provided worked great! I have windows 10 again! Now it's a matter of downloading the software I will be using and trying to fix the disk performance that seems to always be at 100%.  Have a great day!
