I am enquiring as to the availability of a single Windows 11 image for my Hewlett Packard Spectre x360 Convertible 13-aw0118tu. The only way I can image the device to Windows 11 is a two step process:-
Step 1: Image the Hewlett Packard Spectre x360 Convertible 13-aw0118tu. using the downloaded Windows 10 image from the HP website;
Step 2: Run the Microsoft Windows 11update
This sequence provides a number of errors which are time consuming to resolve and some are not resolvable. I am hoping there is a Windows 11 image for my Hewlett Packard Spectre x360 Convertible 13-aw0118tu that I can utilise which would resolve most of the problems I have encountered.
Thanking the community in advance.

Yes you have to do those steps, no other way UNLESS you do yourself.
- Step 1: allows you go back to factory settings (the time you opening you machine for the first time)
- Step 2: You have to updates Windows and drivers depending on how long do you own your machine. No one on this earth know what is the status of your machine EXCEPT yourself.
Even to get a snapshot of your machine now, you don't know what you will have tomorrow, next week or next month.
I myself normally clone my machines every 3 months or after a big updates, new installations ... Any problem with my machines, I can only go back to few months.
Hope this makes sense.
Regards.

Hi Banhien,
Thanks for your prompt response. I am unsure as to the solution you are suggesting.
In essence I have a Hewlett Packard Spectre x360 - 13-aw0118tu device that has no information that I am keen to preserve on it. From time to time I have undertaken a full rebuild process (this includes wiping the entire contents of the hard drive) without using any tools to return to the status of (opening the machine for the first time), the reason being I carry out a number of tests on this device as part of my career. This process has always worked and provides a seamless solution with no errors.
What I am asking is to save the time and effort is there a pre-built windows 11 image (similar to the windows 10 image that I use to rebuild the laptop) this would save a lot of time and effort of running the two step process that I mentioned earlier in my original request for help. There are a number of errors that exist after running the Windows 11 upgrade that are not sighted or experienced prior to the upgrade.
I guess what I should ask foremost "Is Windows 11 fully supported on my Hewlett Packard Spectre x360 - 13-aw0118tu device". If it is not I will cease and desist in carrying out this activity in future instances of my system requiring a rebuild.
Thanking you in advance.

I have two comments ...
First, as far as I can tell, this model only comes with Windows 10 preloaded -- so there would be no Windows 11 HP Image for it.
Second, I personally prefer to use third-party Backup solutions as they tend to be both more flexible and more reliable than any built-in solutions.
Macrium Reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or entire drives.
What I recommend is the following:
1) Download and install Macrium Reflect (MR) from here: http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx
2) Run MR and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition(s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB stick
3) Use the option to create a boot USB stick or CD
My experience is that MR, when using the High Compression option, typically can compress the saved image file to about 60% of the USED space in the OS partition. This means if you have an 80GB OS partition, and 40GB is used, MR only needs about 24GB to store the image file.
I use this all the time and it typically takes less than 15 minutes to do the image backup and about the same time or less to do a restore.
Plus, MR has the option to Add a Recovery Boot Menu entry. This allows you then to boot into WinRE, and you can then use that to do a restore -- when you can't boot into Windows!
NOW, you have the means to restore a full working system from the external drive or USB stick in only a few minutes.
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP

Many thanks WAWood,
In all honesty I was hopeful and even optimistic that Hewlett Packard may have developed a Windows 11 image rather than select either of those suggestions that have been provided thus far. The realisation that I have purchased a device that will only support Windows 11 via a two step-process is disappointing but I will live in hope that maybe one day Hewlett Packard may provide a full installation for Windows 11.
Once again many thanks for your help.
