close of day system ran a BIOS update (?) in the morning had to reset PIN

AM ctd, notified Windows 11, version 22H2 available

update failed stating

the PC must support TPM 2.0.the PC must support TPM 2.0.

Now I'm greeted with

Security Processor errorSecurity Processor error

which is causing me to lose some sleep - is it as serious as it sounds?

I very quickly disappeared down a time evaporating rabbit hole and as a result can confirm:
BIOS appears to be configured correctly

TPM Device: Available, TPM State: EnabledTPM Device: Available, TPM State: Enabled

I tried to roll back the BIOS (assuming it updated or tried to and failed?) using an HP support article which references Power Windows key + B but this failed (error message not captured as beyond frustrated at this point and dove into a packet of ginger crunch)

mopped the tears, brushed off the crumbs then I headed off to check available software/options at HP for my device, which states

I don't have any notifications in the Support Assistant to go near this (usually it does)

If the BIOS I have is v F.41 is this is the same as the one referenced above? F.41 Rev A or would it show as F.41A ?
is there a way I can locate a BIOS that is prior to Sept and try that? should I try that?
is my issue actually the BIOS?

As you can tell I now find myself in a position where I can't seem to find a way out of this pickle or to get my life back 😉

please help
Lots of love,
