HP Spectre x360 Convertible Laptop PC 14-ea0000 (1Q877AV)

I have an HP Spectre x360 Convertible 14-ea0510la (Product ID: 4J6N0LA). The system became completely unbootable, so I prepared two bootable USB drives:

  • One with the Windows 11 installation media

  • Another with the F6 RST driver folder that Paul_Tikkanen had previously shared in his solution dated ‎08-23-2022 01:03 PM — which has reportedly worked for other users.

In BIOS, I can see two NVMe volumes: one with 477 GB and the other with 27 GB. Both are shown as Non-RAID with Controller Type: NVMe.

However, during Windows 11 setup, when I choose to load the drivers from the F6 folder, the installer cannot find any compatible drivers — neither from that ZIP nor from several other versions I have tested.

I have full backups of the internal SSD, so I am open to completely reformatting it if needed.

What can I do to get Windows 11 to detect the internal SSD during installation?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Andrés Honorato

Hi, Andrés:

See if the driver that I zipped up and attached below works.

Your other option would be to use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall Windows, the drivers and the software that came with your notebook.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility.  You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive for this.

You can download the software from the Microsoft Store:

Since you have to use the software on another PC as yours is not working, you will need to enter your notebook's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed to make the recovery media.

Your notebook's product number is 4J6N0LA#AC8
