I installed Windows 11 on my laptop. I updated drivers and security. All ok for the install.
Basically, when my PC goes to sleep after 1 hour the screen, disk, and CPU shut down, then it goes black and won't wake up. The system crashes, and I have to turn it off and on again to restart. I think it's an Intel driver issue. On the HP website, I only find drivers for Windows 10, never for 11. My CPU is an 8th generation, so it's compatible with Windows 11. What do you think I'm doing wrong? Isn't Windows 11 compatible?
I've reinstalled it 3 times already, and everything is as it was the first time.

Yes,  it is possible that the Intel graphics driver may have an issue.

I recommend you try three things:

Install the W11 Intel chipset installation utility for your notebook's processor and chipset:

Intel Chipset Installation Utility and Driver

10.1.19444.8378

sp148947.exe

Install the W11 Intel Management Engine Interface driver for your notebook's processor and chipset:

Intel Management Engine Driver

sp151198.exe

If your notebook only has the onboard Intel graphics and not some dual switchable graphics option, install the latest W11 graphics driver from the Intel website:

Intel® 7th-10th Gen Processor Graphics - Windows*

That would be the only suggestion I can offer.

Thanks Paul for the answer, and sorry for my bad English (im Italian).

My laptop has also the Nvidia Card and i just installed the last Nvidia Driver but the problem for me is not the driver cards, i thinks the problem is other components (cpu, memory, chipset) who the go sleep and the cant weekup again...

So now i can try your advice driver and let you know. Thanks.

You're very welcome.

Well, I installed Chipset Device Software 10.1.19444.8378 and in the last week my laptop has only crashed once...

I haven't installed your second option yet, I'm afraid of triggering the problem.

Should I just leave it like this?

Or it's the best to install also the Intel Management Engine Driver  sp151198.exe ???

Already now I feel like I have a new PC 😁

Thanks for the help,

I would install the Intel Management Engine Interface driver because that kind of controls the way your PC behaves in reference to shutting down, restarting and things like that.

What is Intel® Management Engine?
