HP Recommended

My Envy notebook was working fine until yesterday.  I was installing Norton and it crashed.  I spent 2 days with Microsoft support. Windows crashed. I have a boot up USB Drive but the PC wasn't recognizing it to do a clean install of Windows . I've reformatted the disk partition to GPT but now the notebook gives me a blue screen  warning about not having an operating system   but won't allow me to install . Please help. Microsoft cannot help me.
