Hello. I'm having a problem with my laptop victus 15. recently i reset it from my booting usb drive. Now everything is clear but the hp app and other hp supperted things diseppaered. I think this is the problem because when i bought my laptop the windows and other hp utilities were already installed and after resetting that original version of windows swapped with the other one. Even my touchpad blocking button is not working. When i press it the indicator is turning on but touchpad is still continuing to work. So can you help me to fix this problem?

Hi @turgunov,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  1. What is the exact model of your HP Victus 15 ?
  2. Which version of Windows did you install after the reset? Was it Windows 10 or Windows 11?
  3. Do you notice any other HP-specific features or apps missing besides the touchpad toggle?
  4. Have you tried downloading HP utilities from the HP Support website already, or is that part of what you need help with?

Troubleshooting steps

1. Install HP Support Assistant

  • HP Support Assistant provides driver updates, troubleshooting tools, and system diagnostics.
  • Download it from HP: HP Support Assistant
  • Install and run it  it can detect missing drivers and utilities.

2. Reinstall HP drivers and utilities

  • Go to https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers  → Software & Drivers for your exact Victus model.
  • Download and install:
    • Touchpad driver (often Synaptics or ELAN)
    • HP Quick Launch or Hotkey Support (for touchpad toggle button)
    • Other HP utilities you want restored

3. Check Device Manager

  • Press Windows + X → Device Manager → Mice and other pointing devices
  • Make sure your touchpad is recognized and no yellow warning icons appear.
  • If it’s missing or has an error, reinstall the driver from HP Support.

4. Restore missing features

  • Some HP features like touchpad toggle require the HP Quick Launch or Hotkey driver. Installing the correct version for your model should restore the function.

5. Optional: HP Recovery Media ( make sure all the data is backed up)

  • If you want all original HP apps restored exactly as they came from the factory, you can create HP Recovery Media from another HP laptop of the same model to obtain official recovery options.

I hope this helps.
