I noticed that when I open my settings on my PC and head to the power and battery settings. The screen shows the loading spinner endlessly. It is not loading up. I have tried various methods as per online standards on YouTube. These methods: Going to Device Manager and disabling the battery drivers, closing Device Manager and re-enabling the drivers to no avail. I then started the sensor monitoring services because it shuts itself down after another update came through but it still did not work. I have tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling and it still has the same issue. Can someone have found a way out of this? or know how to solve this????

Hi @Mogzz
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating that you're unable to load the "Power and Battery" settings in Windows 11. Since you've already tried some common troubleshooting methods without success, let's go through additional steps that can help resolve this issue.
1. Run the Power Troubleshooter:
Windows 11 has a built-in troubleshooter for power-related issues, which may help identify and fix the problem.
- Open Settings (Press Windows + I).
- Go to System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Find and click on Power under "Most frequent" or "Other troubleshooters".
- Click Run and follow the on-screen instructions to detect and fix any power issues.
2. Check for Windows Updates:
Since you mentioned updates, make sure there are no pending updates that could resolve the issue.
- Open Settings.
- Go to Windows Update and click Check for updates.
- Install any pending updates and restart your computer.
3. Run SFC and DISM Scans:
Corrupted system files can cause settings to malfunction. Running these two commands can help fix these issues.
- Press Windows + X and select Windows Terminal (Admin) or Command Prompt (Admin).
- In the terminal window, type the following command to run the System File Checker (SFC):
- Wait for it to finish and follow any prompts to fix issues found.
- After that, run the DISM tool by typing:DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- Wait for this process to complete and then restart your computer.
4. Re-enable or Reset the Battery Driver:
Since you mentioned trying to disable and re-enable the battery drivers, let’s take it a step further with a full driver reset.
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Batteries.
- Right-click on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery and select Uninstall device.
- Restart your computer.
- After restarting, Windows should automatically reinstall the correct battery driver.
5. Check the System Performance Settings:
There might be a conflict with your system performance settings that is preventing the "Power and Battery" section from loading.
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Go to System > Power & Battery.
- Look for any specific performance settings or energy plans that might be affecting your power options and adjust accordingly.
6. Check the Battery and Power Services:
Sometimes Windows services responsible for battery management can fail. Let’s ensure that the services are running correctly.
- Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- In the Services window, locate and check if these services are running:
- Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)
- Power
- Battery Service
- If any of these are stopped, right-click and select Start.
- If they are already running, try Restarting them.
sfc /scannow
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

I have gone through the list of services via the device manager and I have not seen battery service amongst the services. The WMII is running which I restarted, the power is running of which I also restarted that. They are all set to automatic as well. Is there a way I can get this service back or so? That could be the thing causing the issue. @rachel
