HP might still have a recovery disk for it since it is an Elitebook but I doubt it. The problem is HP never made Windows 7 available for download. Microsoft allowed download of Windows 7 OEM disk images until 2 or 3 years ago but pulled the servers.
You can check www.computersurgeons.com and www.restoredisks.com as one of them may have an original Windows 7 restore disk for it for sale.
There are mirrors of the old Microsoft "Digital River" site that you can find on the internet if you are resourceful and download the .iso image for OEM Windows 7 Pro. A retail disk will not work with that Key Code.

There is some risk in using software downloaded from a mirror site so you are on your own but the article above has a link to a German site. The image you are looking for is Windows 7 Pro 64 bit with SP1 English and the Microsoft catalog number for the disk image is X17-59186.iso and if you google that you find a lot of information. If you don't know how to burn an .iso into a workable disk post back but I will give you a tip: you can't just data burn the .iso file onto a disk.
Ive always thought the 2760p was one of HP's best efforts...a very sleek little machine, very fast and robust. Good luck and enjoy.

Hi,
Have you verified on theproduct key on the Microsoft download page for windows 7. Here is link to page:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows7
Insert product key and click on verify to see if you can download the OS directly from Microsoft. It has to be retail version to be downloaded.
Let me know,
David

The Microsoft verification page says I have to contact HP.
HP will not respond to to email, fax etc. to answer a simple question.
That's why I came here,
I am running out time to register my computer for school access to there website.
It has to be a iOS or Windows computer.
My laptop runs LInux and can not be registered for use on the site.
Do not have $500.00 to buy another laptop.
