Hi.
I lost my disc with drivers for my laptop (HP Pavilion g6 2220sm) and I wanted to isntall windows 7 on it, but when I do that, I dont have any drivers on it (including wifi and internet drivers), so I went to the website, downloaded all drivers for my laptop and win7 64bit OS, but for some reason some of them (like the graphics) won't install...
Any help how I can isntall win7 and make drivers work?
THANKS!

You're very welcome.
There are only a few you should install in a particular order.
1. Intel chipset installation utility. Install and restart the PC.
2. In your case, only the AMD graphics adapter driver, which installs both the AMD and Intel graphics. Install and restart the PC.
3. Audio: Install and restart the PC.
Then you can install the rest of the drivers in any order you want.
I never install BIOS or firmware updates unless they fix something listed in the release notes that my PC is having the problem addressed by the fix.
Wifi: You only need to install the one driver for the model wifi adapter your notebook comes with.
So, that is done.
The only other software you may want is the HP Quick Launch Buttons driver.
You may need the HP ProtectSmart had drive driver too if your notebook has an Unknown Device showing up in the device manager.
The rest is optional.

Hi:
Your model comes with the AMD/Intel switchable graphics adapters.
You only should install the AMD graphics driver which will install the drivers for both the Intel and AMD graphics adapters.
If the one on your notebook's support page didn't work for you, use this one instead.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp56001-56500/sp56458.exe
Ethernet:

If the wifi is missing a driver, there should be a device listed in the device manager labeled as a Network Controller.
Please post the hardware ID for the network controller device so I can figure out what driver it needs.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...

Hi, thanks for answering. I will try downloading the other graphics drivers you provided.
I'm still new to this driver stuff, my wifi driver was working (I installed the ralink driver), but other drivers were problematic.
Can you tell me in what order I have to install the drivers? This is the page I downloaded them from: https://support.hp.com/rs-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-g6-Notebook-PC-series/5296082/model/531...
I did like chipset, sata controllers, bios, firmware, idk what I did next, but still some of them were problematic, kept giving me errors...
Also, do I have to install all of these drivers, if not, which ones should I install?
I see some drivers that look very simillar, like for example, there are few drivers for bluetooth and like 3 or 4 drivers for WiFi. (Intel My WiFi and Wireless Drivers, Intel Wireless Drivers, Ralink 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter, Atheros Wireless LAN Driver).
On windows 10, there is just Ralink driver, so I guess I don't have to install the other ones?
And finally, when I install windows 7, is there anything else I need to do besides the drivers in order for my laptop to work good?

Hi. I reinstalled windows with the drivers u provided me, but the problem is sitll there...
When I install graphics, there is only amd catalyst installer installed and no drivers and when I try to install audio driver I get these 2 errors: https://prnt.sc/njnjja and https://prnt.sc/njnjjv
Also, when I tried installing driver booster, it says corrupted file... Could it be that the win7 installation is bad?

Hi:
Unfortunately, I don't know what the problem could be with the graphics drivers.
You tried the one on your notebook's support page and the one I posted from the g6-2000?
Try this audio driver...
