Product: 14-DK0850NO

Hello, I have a HP 14-DK0850NO laptop and I want to install Windows 7.

 

It has the option in bios for legacy operating system, but when I start windows 7 installation it bluescreens right as the loading logo starts with a unsupported bios error.

Hi:

 

You cannot install or run W7 on any platform with an AMD Ryzen processor. 

 

No W7 drivers were developed for any of the hardware.

 

W10 64 bit only.

I am running windows 7 on my ryzen 5 3600 and b450 on my main pc, so thats not true.

 

I think there is some kind of block in the bios on this laptop, I am hoping I can get a bios with the block removed.

You're comparing apples and oranges.

 

You can install W7 on a desktop PC as long as it has a discrete graphics card that has support for W7 drivers.

 

AMD has chipset drivers for W7 too.

 

Forget about installing W7 on a notebook PC.

 

HP is not going to release any BIOS updates that add support for W7.

Well, that's a real shame. Windows 10 is steaming garbage in my opinion.
