HP Mini 311-1037NR PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have an old Windows 7 mini HP.  I did a system restore yesterday to wipe it before selling/giving away.  Internet Explorer was the browser that was installed on this computer, but it needs to be updated, and a new browser installed.  Unfortunately, although I have internet connection, and have limited internet access, this version of IE doesn’t work.  Is it possible to install a working browser on this computer?  Thank you!

Hi:

I recommend you download the Google Chrome installation file to another PC.

Download & install Google Chrome - Computer - Google Chrome Help

Copy it to a USB flash drive.

Plug the flash drive into your notebook's USB port.

Copy and paste the installer to your PC's desktop and run it.

Thank you once again for your assistance, Paul!  That was my thought as well, but I wanted confirmation from someone knows more than I do before I try it.  I haven’t touched this computer for over 5 years, and it’s been challenging to see if I can get it to a workable condition  for someone else to utilize as a computer to so simple activities.  My Mom’s computer has Windows 7 and we upgraded her browser to Chrome a couple years ago, before IE stopped working, but mine is a little different situation.   Again, I appreciate your assistance yesterday with the system restore, and today as well.  Have a great day!!
