Friend
I tried your proposed suggestion and it did not work for me. It resulted in the Product not being activation. Prior to this suggest it was showing activated. I contact HP "Concerned"team with no reponse for nearly a week when I was promissed 48 hrs reponse. Still waiting for the fix.:smileysad:

i tried your command slmgr -rearm in elevated command propmpt (run as administrator), and followed all process. Now my Pc is not showing that Pop mssg - your window will expire soon, but in PC properties is showing Windows not activated . so is it ok? or some problem will be there as window status is not activated.
and also if i m go to pc settings to activate windows, it tells "cant be activated right now, try it later" . so it is ok ? or any issue is there.

Thanks! This solution worked!
UPDATE:
This solution is just a bandaid to stop the nag screen. I found out that the key of the Windows that was installed on this hard drive was a trial version of Windows 8.1, so there was no good solution except to buy Windows 10 from Frys and install it (as Windows 8.1 is no longer sold reputably).

All of a sudden my laptop started giving the above message. Maybe after an update.
I have a tried the suggestion and the system got back with an error message:
Error 0x80041002 occured connecting to the local WMI provider. On a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core edition, run 'slui.exe 0x80041002' to display the error text.
Running this in command prompt doesn't do anyting.
Please advice.
