@vazqueze, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like your HP Pavilion g6’s factory reset was interrupted, and now it won’t finish or boot properly. That can happen if Windows recovery files were damaged during the reset. Here’s how you can get it working again:

Try Automatic Repair First

Turn on the laptop and repeatedly press F11 as soon as you see the HP logo.

This should open the HP Recovery Environment.

Select Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → Automatic Repair and let it try to fix startup issues.

Use System Recovery

If the automatic repair fails, go back to the Troubleshoot menu and choose Reset your PC or System Recovery.

Follow the prompts to reinstall Windows from the recovery partition.

If F11 Doesn’t Work

Turn the laptop off, then turn it on and repeatedly press Esc → F9 to access Boot Device Options.

Look for an entry like Recovery or HP Recovery Manager. Select it and press Enter.

Use Windows Installation Media (if recovery partition is broken)

If none of the above work, you’ll need a Windows 8 or 10 USB installation drive.

You can create one using Microsoft’s Media Creation Tool on another PC.

Boot from the USB (press Esc → F9, then select the USB drive) and choose Custom Install.

When asked where to install Windows, delete all existing partitions (only if you’ve backed up files) and install a fresh copy.

Install Drivers After Setup

Once Windows is installed, visit support.hp.com → Drivers & Software → HP Pavilion g6 and download the correct drivers for your model.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
