How do you install Windows 98 on a computer without CD-Rom and USB.
Found a Compaq LTE 5300 cheap on a flea market and i want to do a clean install of windows 98 on it. I have The Boot floppy and Windows 98 CD. But when the computer does not have a CD-Rom i am at a loss as i dont find any instruction on how to do it on the internett.
And i was hopping someone on here knew how to do it and explaine it to me.
With kind regards
Walior

Hi
Essentially YES.
FDISK and make upto 4 partitions, C: and Data and OS should be enough.
The system files are usually hidden and may not copy over (to unhide use attrib command).
It's here... https://www.computerhope.com/syshlp.htm (www.computerhope.com/attribhl.htm).

Hi
Sometimes the CD has disk images that can be created, but that is hard work.
So remove the hard disk caddy, and attach the HDD to another machine and copy over the CD contents onto a bootable partition, and run setup from there.
