Windows is telling me that the activation key is expiring soon. The laptop I purchased was directly through HP in their store. I've never had to repurchase a Win Key after the fact when purchasing a brand new laptop, especially from brands like HP or Dell. Can someone assist? I don't feel it's necessary to repurchase an OS after I've already purchase a full build and no, I'm not doing subscription to anything like 365. Can someone please help me?

*Note* It does say activated through "your organization" but there's no organization. My work laptop is, but this is my wife's PC and I've never linked either accounts.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to download and install the free Showkey Plus app from the Microsoft Store and see if there is an issue with the installed key being different than the Windows OEM key.

ShowKeyPlus - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store

When you run the app, it should show two Windows product keys--an installed key and an OEM key.

If the installed key is different than the OEM key, change the installed key to the OEM key in the PC settings menu and see if you can activate Windows with the OEM product key.
