I recently had to replace the SSD from my mom's HP Laptop (15-bs020wm) and used the online recovery software from HP to reinstall Windows.  I haven't gone through the set up yet, but before I give it back I wanted to make sure it's ready.  The problem is she can't find any documentation that came with the laptop.  Is the Windows activation key embedded in the MB on this unit?  If not, how can we recover the key?  Thanks!

If the PC came with Windows from HP, then there should be a W10 product key encrypted in the BIOS.

The parts list for the model shows two motherboards--one with as Windows product key and one without a Windows product key.

The models sold without a Windows product key would have come with FreeDOS from HP.
