Hi,
Recently, my laptop (Hp 15s ryzen 5300u) ran into a problem where it showed "Cannot find the operating system installed" error at startup. I fixed that by the bios update fix suggested someone on this platform. But right after 10 or so minutes, the error popped up "Your device ran into a problem" and crashed. The same Operating System error popped up again and now, the previous fix isn't working as it says "The BIOS recovery files cannot be found or the files are corrupted." Kindly help fix this or guide me in the right direction. Thank you!

It appears you have a disk corruption. If you attempt to update your BIOS using a file on a corrupted drive you may ruin your laptop totally where it will be useless.
Have you run diagnostics?
Tap the ESC key after powering on. . Tap it once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. When you see the startup menu, press F2 to run diagnostics.
Do not allow any updates if disk or memory fail, especially a BIOS update.
If a component fails during the UEFI test then Click here to check warranty
If diagnostics pass then you can probably repair a corrupted drive.
I assume you cannot boot into windows normally.
Can you boot into windows safe mode?
Click here to see how to start your system in safe mode.
if you can boot into safe mode then you can do a disk drive repair or fix corrupted files.
If you cannot boot into safe mode then possibly you can do a cloud recovery as discussed here
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-15.6-inch-laptop-pc-15-e2000/model/2100376550?sku=468W1PA
you need to select windows and look for cloud recovery. You will lose all your personal files so be sure to try windows safe mode first.

Thank you for your reply. Appreciate the suggestion. I ran the system diagnosis on harddrive/Ssd and it immediately said "No harddrive could be found." I haven't tried running it in safe mode, but after the diagnosis, I lost hope, assuming I might have to replace the ssd entirely.

When you wrote "ran the system diagnosis" I think you did the F2 and the diagnostics said there was no drive to test.
Is that correct? Some laptops have both an M.2 type SSD and also a much larger HDD. The H DD is mechanical.
The M.2 SSD rarely go bad as they have not moving parts.
You have HP Laptop 15s-eq2060AU and the spec for it is here but that is a guess
Looking at the spec and the manual you have a single M.2 SSD so if it is not working it needs to be replaced.
I think your product ID is 468W1PA and I guessed your country to be #ACJ and was unable to find a cloud recovery
Did your system come with windows 10 or 11 or did it come with FreeDos or some version of Linux?
Possibly you have cloud recovery but you need to use your exact product ID and serial number
See if you have cloud recovery at the below site. I get 'error 0015" which indicates an unknown problem.
https://d34z73bbtpzgej.cloudfront.net/
You can also try the Microsoft's store HP cloud recovery app but 468W1PA #ACJ did not work when I tried it.
The HP Cloud Recovery Tool is an application developed by HP. It enables customers to access a digital download of their recovery media and create a bootable USB drive (Minimum 32GB) to recover their units back to factory status.

Hi! I'm using Hp15s eq2060 with amd processor. The warranty has expired, so I can't reclaim that. So, I was playing Sekiro (Video game) and suddenly, my pc crashed. I have been playing it for a few months so it never did this before. While crashing, for a short moment "Locking up" screen popped up and it turned off. Now, it won't power on. The power light blinks three times so the power button's responsive. Due to three blinks, I tried removing ram and powering it up, but same issue persisted. I cleaned it and then reinstalled the ram, but didn't work. I'm out of options as for now, so kindly guide me as to what I can do.
Thank you!
