I had a pop up alert 7/13/2022 regarding a security alert. There is a 800 number to call or an Allow option. It says it has been disabled due to a security threat that involves stealing passwords and not to restart. I’m skeptical this is legitimate. If it is not, how do I get rid of it? I have restarted and can still get to my apps but the alert continues to pop up.

Hello @Arjays
The state of your system is dangerous ! Do not continue working !
Never call these phone numbers ! It will make it worse and you can lose a lot of money.
(1) Backup your personal files (videos, pictures, documents) to external connected usb flash drive / usb hard disk
(2) Factory reset your chromebook !
