Nothing new here - simple cleanup / basic instructions without all the noise and clutter...

 

If you have not done so, update the BIOS

HP BIOS and System Firmware (T37/T39/T76) 

At this writing, version:  01.09.10 Rev.A

 

Download your fingerprint driver

Synaptics FS7600 WBF Touch Fingerprint Driver

 

Control Panel > set icon view > Device Manager >

Open category Biometric Devices

Right-Click on Synaptics Sensor Driver

Uninstall (Tick box to delete driver)

Device Manager > Action > Scan for hardware changes

Verify Driver is removed > If necessary, repeat delete steps

 

  • Shut down the computer to Off condition, wait several seconds > Boot and log in
  • Install the downloaded Driver

 

Steps...

Open File Explorer Window 

Navigate to the Downloads folder in which you saved the Driver 

Double-Click on the Driver package to start the installation 

OR

Right-Click and set to run as Administrator

When the Driver has installed, Restart the computer and log in
