Hi Folks
I bought a wiped HP Probook 6550b from my work.
No software and no OS which I beleive is windows 7, 64bit.
I still have the OS key on a sticker on the back.
I tried to download off the Microsoft website but they say its an OE version and to refer back to the manufacturer.
Can you please suggest how I can download windows 7 ?
From what I have have been told, the laptop came with a legit version so I should be able to put it back on.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi:
If the product key on the PC's Microsoft W7 sticker is for W7 Pro 64 bit, here is the link to the W7 Pro 64 bit English ISO file...
The link will only be good for 24 hours from this posting date and time.
I have zipped up and attached below, the Microsoft utility that will transfer the ISO file to a DVD or USB flash drive so that the media is bootable.
After you reinstall W7, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.

Thank you so much for your help.
I'm really not 100% sure if it's 32 or 64bit which is what came up in the HP website support page for my model laptop.
Is there any way to tell?
The sticker says Windows 7 Pro OA.
Does the product key give a clue?

You're very welcome.
There is no way to tell...the 6550b's came configured with either version, but since that PC can take more than 4 GB of memory, you would want to install a 64 bit operating system in case you ever wanted to add more memory to it.
The product key will work for either 32 or 64 bit.
