Windows activated without me activating or buying

It's been a month or two since windows 10 activated on my laptop, and I never bought windows , in the air page it says kms activation and I do not know anything about kms licence.

Someone help me through this issue.

I would like to help you.

I don't know the history of your notebook, but I can point out the following.

(1) It depends on how the operating system was used before ( company environment ? )

Microsoft offers KMS:

Activate using Key Management Service

(2) If your operating system is reinstalled with the help of <HP Cloud Recovery>, you do not need to worry about activation. It happens automatically here as well.

I reset the laptop 2 years ago and downloaded the windows 10 from Microsoft (while resetting there is option to download windows) and installed, but i never purchased key .

Since then I can see the activate windows popup at bottom right(it's annoying but ok), but never reinstalled again , suddenly the activation popup dissapeared and win 10 activated

(1) Run    msinfo32

- Select <System Summary>:

- copy/paste to following key/values pairs:

OS Name

Version

System SKU ( equals HP product number (p/n) )

BIOS Version/Date

(2) Please report your results

Product number (p/n) / bios version is legally allowed information about the computer. This is not sensitive data.

It is allowed to publish it in public.

No, the windows version i got is not genuine.

How i know? I checked. The person at the shop installed the os in front of me.

And after that i tried to add different keys(cracked/hack) , but after I reset and installed genuine os from ms without key.
