HP EliteBook 840 G8 Notebook PC (26D62AV)

1 external screen attached via HDMI (which is set as my mains creen), two other external screens attached via "USB-C to dual HDMI" adaptor.

Everytime my laptop wakes from sleep all the active windows have collapsed down onto the laptop screen and I have to move them back into position.

This has never happened on previous (non-HP) laptops I have owned and I cannot see how on earth it is any sort of 'feature'.

How do I stop this special behaviour on my HP laptop?
