Hi Carina123,
I had the same issue last week with a new Pavilion x360 14" 2-in-1. I resolved it by doing a system restore. I used the following steps (make sure your laptop is plugged in):
1. Power on and immediately press the 'esc' button a few times until you enter the "Startup Menu."
2. Select the 'f11' button on the top row of the keyboard to enter "System Recovery."
3. On the "Choose an option" screen select "Troubleshoot."
4. On the "Troubleshoot" screen select "Reset this PC."
5. On the "Reset this PC" screen select "Remove everything."
6. On the next "Reset this PC" screen select "Just Remove my files."
The laptop should do a system restore back to the original out-of-box-experience (OOBE). Mine did and I was able to complete the installation. My laptop functions perfectly and I have had no other issues. If this procedure doesn't work for you, you most likely will have to return your laptop for a replacement. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.
