Hey HP community
My HDD crashed and confirmed irrecoverable.
I now have a replacement HDD.
How do I reinstall Windows?

Hi:
You can make a bootable W10 installer using the media creation tool at the link below.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
If your notebook did not come with W10 but you upgraded it from an older operating system, when you get to the part of the installation that asks you to enter a product key, select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.
If your notebook did come with W10, then W10 should not ask for a product key to be entered.
