My windows 11 is asking for activating windows. I can't find the product key to activate

HP Recommended

If your notebook came with Windows from HP, the product key is encrypted in the BIOS.

 

Install the free Showkey Plus app from the Microsoft store and it will show you the Windows OEM product key in the BIOS and the version of Windows the key is good for.

 

ShowKeyPlus - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store

 

If your notebook came with FreeDOS, there is no product key, and you will have to find the product key you used to install Windows or buy a W11 license and product key.
