HP Recommended

The windows bitlocker activated itself for no reason and I need the windows activation key. Can that be obtained from the serial or part number of the laptop?

The Windows product key is encrypted in the PC's BIOS and is not needed to reinstall Windows.

 

If you did not export the Bitlocker encryption key to your Microsoft account or print it out, you will need to reinstall Windows.
