HI @Jalpen,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Experiencing a Windows stop code error after your PC wakes from sleep mode can be frustrating. This issue can be caused by various factors, including driver problems, system file corruption, or hardware issues. Here are some steps you can take to diagnose and resolve the problem:
Update Drivers:
- Outdated or corrupt drivers are a common cause of stop code errors. Ensure all your drivers, especially those for your graphics card, chipset, and network adapter, are up to date.
- You can update drivers through Device Manager or by visiting the manufacturer's website.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Make sure your Windows operating system is fully updated. Microsoft frequently releases patches and updates that can resolve known issues.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
Run System File Checker (SFC) and DISM:
- Corrupted system files can cause stop code errors. Use the System File Checker to scan and repair these files.
- Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following commands sfc /scannow
After SFC completes, run the Deployment Imaging Service and Management Tool (DISM) to fix any remaining issues: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Disable Fast Startup:
- Sometimes, fast startup can cause issues with sleep mode.
- Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do > Change settings that are currently unavailable, then uncheck "Turn on fast startup".
Check Power Settings:
- Incorrect power settings can cause sleep-related issues. Ensure your power plan settings are correctly configured.
- Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options, and adjust the settings as necessary.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
