HP Pavilion - 14-bk070sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have tried so many ways to get this laptop back to its factory settings. It keeps coming back with my profile on screen which it then says it can't load.

I have tried a system restore and also told it to wipe clean completely but when I ask for this it gets so far and then undoes the changes so I am back where I started from.

I have tried the Media Creation Tool on USB but it doesnt work.

Someone please tell me how to get back to a clean fresh install!

Hi:

Your notebook is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which you can use on another PC running W7 64 bit or newer to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall Windows, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility.  You will also need a 32 GB USB flash drive to create the recovery media with.

HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool (Windows 10, 7) | HP® Customer Support

After you install the tool on the PC, you will need to enter your PC's product number in the tool's window.

Your PC's product number is: 2FN69EA#ABU

You also install the tool on your notebook if it is working and it should automatically detect the product number.

Hi Paul

Many thanks for your prompt response. I will be getting a larger USB stick tomorrow and will then go through your directions. Hopefully I will then be able to access my laptop again. I'll let you know how it goes!
