Solved: Wmi host process freez system - HP Support Community

Good afternoon. On the specified laptop probook 440 G3 after an indefinite loading time, the system begin "frizing". All attempts to find an answer in the Internet result did not. The system loads WMI Host provider from process 30% to 70% of CPU.
Perhaps someone came across and solved the problem?

Thanks for the help. The problem was in the driver of the card reader, which got through Windows update in January

Always a good idea to check for malware too..just in case.
