15-G020-DX

Getting BSOD on 15-G020-DX, cannot repair. See image for current BIOS settings. I'm wondering about the arrows pointing toward OS boot manager and Notebook HD and the ghosted Internal CD/DVD. OS is Win10 32x, I think. Thanks.

Hello @geekygal72

Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum.

Based on the screenshots, Secure boot is OFF. Also, Legacy mode is ENABLED

Therefore, the "OS Boot Manager" and whatever you see under "UEFI Boot Order" is irrelevant.

Make sure the settings stay this way and are saved. Press F10 to Save and Exit.

If the settings are correct (they should be based on the screenshot), the other reasons for inability to boot from the CD/DVD are:

- the CD/DVD built-in device is not working

- the image is corrupted or not correctly written / image is not bootable.

Would you like to try a different method (like from USB pendrive) or again with another DVD ?

Which Windows do you want to install and use on this computer  - your PC comes with Windows 8.1 originally...

Looking forward to your confirmation.
