HP 2000 I think

All of a sudden I got an error on startup and he hard drive was broken past the point of return. I replaced it, although the pc said it didn't have an os. I simply allowed legacy boot in bios and problem solved.

Then i restarted the pc, it went into recovery menu and it gave me 2 options, one said something(recommended), the other said boot normally.  I did reccomended option.

The pc loaded for over 30 minutes on a screen that said " attempting had to resolve problems", it took too long, and so i had to stop the process. It wouldn't let me press cancel, i tried clicking it, but it said "can't cancel now".

So i had to power it off, and now when I power on the pc, the screen stays dark, the fan turns on, all leds are normal, and hard reset will not work. I can't get into bios, recovery, or diagnostics. Help?
