Hi:
You can only install Intel 4th gen core processors in the 600 G1 model series.
See the Quickspecs at the link below starting on page 5 for the list of 4th gen core processors that HP offered in the model series:

There may be other 4th generation core processors that may work as shown in this link such as the i7-4790 or i7-4790K.
UserBenchmark: HP ProDesk 600 G1 SFF Compatible Components
However, a 6th - 10th gen core processor has no chance of working.
