@hart_any, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Envy x360 laptop is not turning on, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Check Power Connection:

  • Ensure that the power adapter is securely connected to both the laptop and a functioning power outlet.
  • Verify that the power cord is not damaged.

Check Battery:

  • Remove the battery (if removable) and plug in the power adapter to try powering the laptop without the battery.
  • If the laptop powers on, the battery might be faulty.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
  • Press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds to drain any residual power.
  • Reinstall the battery and reconnect the power adapter, then try to turn on the laptop.

Check Power Button:

  • Ensure the power button is not stuck or damaged and try pressing it firmly.

Examine the Power Adapter LED and Battery Light:

  • If the AC adapter and battery light indicators show unusual signs (such as blinking amber or no light), it might indicate a problem with the power supply or battery. Common indicator meanings are:
    • White: AC adapter is connected and the battery is fully charged.
    • Blinking Amber: AC adapter is disconnected and the battery is low.
    • Amber: AC adapter is connected and the battery is charging.
    • Off: Battery is not charging.Identifying the USB Type-C power connector and 10 Gbps port with HP Sleep and Charge and DisplayPort output

Inspect for Physical Damage or Liquid Exposure:

  • Check for any signs of physical damage or liquid exposure that could be causing the issue.

Try a Different Power Adapter:

  • If possible, use another compatible HP power adapter to rule out an issue with the current adapter.

Look for LED Indicators:

  • If there are any LED lights for the caps lock or any other indicator, check their status as they might blink to indicate a hardware issue.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
