Hello. I posted my message in Notebook Hardware section but it was marked as spam. I am sorry if it shows up or not.
. I have a HP 255 G7 Notebook PC 6UV50UP - AMD System, A4-9125 15 8GB/256 PC. Currently 256 GB M.2 SATA SSD. M.2 2280-D2-B-M - SAMSUNG MZNLN256HAJQ-000H1. Disk Controller,"AMD SATA Controller (AHCI) [VEN: 1022, DEV: 7904] Version: 1.3.1.277. I am not able to provide you with more specifications, since the PC is not functioning, needs a new SSD in M2 slot.
I would like to replace the SSD and I am not sure if NVMe SSD's are supported in this model and if not, would you please be so kind as to advise me a SATA III SSD of 256GB or 500 GB in size that would work in the M2 slot?
In manual I see the option for NVMe SSD's, but some info. is controversial because the information applies to different models as well. All I know that it has an AMD CPU. but I have not opened the notebook to check since it is not so easy to open it.
Also, please would you advise me how to fresh install Windows 10, format the SSD for best stability and performance of any SSD that would be compatible based on your advise.
If from the information I just provided you could assist me, I would be very grateful.
Thank you so much for your time and for any advise you might have.
Respectfully,
Johan
