HP Pavilion x360 – 11-k120nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I installed HP Support Assistant and i found a new BIOS for my Paviljon X360.

So I download the file and executed it. It replace my old BIOS but something went wrong.

Now the screen stays black and the caps lock led blinks.

So there is a bad BIOS or something else.

I was trying to restore the old BIOS via the Windows logo and the B - key, but that doesn't help.

Can someone help me please?

@RonSteZ
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Press and hold the Windows logo key and the V key.
While pressing those keys, press and hold the Power button on the computer for 2 to 3 seconds, and then release the Power button but continue to hold the Windows logo key and the B or V key until the HP BIOS update screen displays or you hear a beeping sound (usually 8 beeps).
The HP BIOS Update screen displays and the BIOS update begins automatically. This might take several minutes, and you might hear additional beeping sounds.
If the HP BIOS Update screen does not display, repeat the previous steps. If the issue persists after repeating the steps, skip to the next step to Download a replacement BIOS file.
If the Power light turns off, the notebook has turned off because the Power button was held too long. Repeat the previous steps, making sure to hold the Power button for 2 to 3 seconds only.
If your notebook starts Windows, update the BIOS to the latest version using the standard BIOS update procedure. For more information about updating your notebook BIOS, go to Updating the BIOS (Notebooks).
Click Continue Startup to prompt the notebook to restart immediately, or allow the notebook to restart automatically when the timer reaches zero.
After the notebook restarts, press Enter to continue.
NOTE: If the notebook repeatedly displays a message that the BIOS has been recovered, go to HP BIOS Application Selected is Corrupt or Missing for troubleshooting steps.
After Windows starts, if a message displays stating that the notebook was improperly shut down or that a boot problem was detected, follow the on-screen instructions.
You can now to enter the BIOS menu or start the Windows operating system.

Refer this article to know more information about recovering the BIOS.

Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thanks for yoyr reply but your solution doesn't help me.

When I did this, the screen stays black, only the caps lock led  lids 4 times. There is no sound hearing.

Thanks for your answer,

I see now that the caps lock is blinking 2 times long and then 2 times short.

It is very strange that when i download a new BIOS from support then it will be a wrong one?

And why does it affect on my graphic controller?

The laptop is out of guarantee so will cost it a lot to repair?

I did some research on youtube and i saw an movie to reset the bios.

So I openend my x360 and remove the cable from the cmos battery. I left the laptop alone for a few hours and reconnect the battery.

Then I connect every cable and tried to power it up.

Now the caps lock isn't blinking anymore but still there is a blank screen. The power led is on .

What will be my next step? Who knows?
