Product: Pavilion 15n-259tx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
My Laptop was not functioning properly and due to circumstances I completely formatted the Hard Drive and installed Ubuntu. Now I want to go back to Windows 8.1 but the product key which I got by running command "sudo strings /sys/firmware/acpi/tables/MSDM | tail -1" in Ubuntu is saying invalid product key. Below are the steps I performed
- Downloaded Windows 8.1 x64 from https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows8
- Flashed to USB using Rufus
- Booted from USB
- Entered the product key and it says product key does not match or invalid
Product: Hp Pavilion 15n-259tx
Current OS: Ubuntu 20.04
Any help is highly appreciated.
